I have this fascination with the Fae and am glad to find any author that incorporates this subject matter with romance.  Prince Daire goes through a portal to the earth realm in search of his younger brother, Aiden.  Sure enough, he finds him watching a mortal woman but Daire is drawn to her as well.  All his kind are drawn to mortals because of their emotions and the fact that they are blessed with a soul, which the Fae are not born with.  Their enemies have followed them here and the brothers stay a bit longer to defend the woman but when it comes time to step back through the portal only one key can be found so Daire opts to stay behind and look for another key or wait for Aiden’s return with help.

Rowan Blake has grown up with her grandmother telling her tales of the Fae but not in her wildest dreams would she have thought that one would be in her house.  In the earthen realm iron is everywhere and it continually weakens Daire so they must find the key fast.  But his ex who has fallen to the dark ways has other plans for them.  Together they must defeat a legion of evil beings and rescue her own little brother in the process.  The Blakes find that because of the unnatural amount of iron in their system that they are considered Blood Witches to the Fae and are in danger of being drained of their essence for power.  Daire and Rowan fall hard and fast for each other but can there be any hope for them when her very own blood can destroy him?

This is a great fast read, like a snowball rolling and constantly gaining momentum.  There’s a lot of creative use of the folklore associated with the Fae and the war between good and bad seesaws back and forth keeping the reader alert.  Rowan has presence and strength, a perfect match for the warrior Prince Daire.  I always enjoy the romances where the hero and heroine’s attraction is taboo.  ~  Natalie, www.ireadromance.com
